Cool the Skin - A radiation burn should be treated line any minor burn. The first aid protocol for minor burns is to cool the burn. If the radiation skin burn is cooled early and consistently, it will help minimize the severity of the radiation dermatitis. Radiation rescue is specifically formulated to cool the skin effected by a radiation therapy burn.
Relieve the Pain - Evenwith a minor burn, such as those that occure with radiation therapy, ther will be exposed nerve endings that create pain. When the burn area is treated with a thick covering of Radiation REscue, the gel quicly relieves the pain, allowing the patient an easier recovery time between treatments.
Prevent or Reduce Skin Damage - The cooling and soothing qualities of Radiation Rescue have been shown to prevent or reduce radiation dermatitis. When used from day one of the radiation treatment, most patients have found that the skin damage was no more serious than a sunburn. Water-based Radiation Rescue draws the heat out of the skin. Many radiation burn creams are petrolatum based and will trap the heat in the skin, often creating serious radiatio skin burns and skin damage. Radiation Rescue does not contain petrolatum.

This product will take away all discomfort. When I frist used it, the change was inmediate,
for the pain and discoloration start to lessen right away. It removed all the dead skin. I had
a breast removed, chemo and than the radiation began. It was by far worse than the chemo. I would tell anyone going through radiation to use the product, you will not be disapointed.
I think all hospitals using radiation should make this product available to their patients.
I could not find it in a store, I bought it online.
